Where are you from?

I have lived in NJ my whole life.

NJ is not exactly a hotbed of Footbag, how did you get exposed it?

I went to a lot of Grateful Dead shows and I got to meet excellent kickers from out west, I was hooked.

What was the first seed of Xtreme Footbag ?
Sept. 5th 1995 I was driving home from witnessing my first major footbag competition in PA. I was amazed at the talent of the world’s top players. This was no Dead show, these guys were serious. I felt that footbaggers deserve the same recognition as skateboarders for their skill and dedication. Yet, the format for the competition was missing the main event to showcase it.

What was the first thing you did?
The first thing I did is go to the top floor of a hotel and kick while walking down the stairs, that started it all.

How did that lead to Xtreme Footbag?
It lead me to the concept of a course and 'stunts' which is the heart of XF.

What is the dream of Xtreme Footbag?
To have it become an action sport with Xtreme Footbaggers representing company sponsors much like skateboarders. I studied the X Games and realized that they changed the format of existing lifestyle sports making them marketable, which is what I have done for footbag. Skateboarding used to just be five dirtbags in a parking lot also.

What is the crazist Footbag Stunt that you can imagine?
I’m not sure, but when I see it I will know!

What else do you like to do?
I went to The School of Visual Arts, NYC. I make steel sculpture and furniture which you can see at www.CoolTables.com. Right now I am doing a series of paintings for a show.
